Advocate Domaille was sworn by the Ecclesiastical Court of Guernsey as a Notary Public in 2012. The office of Notary Public is an historical position governed by the Court of Faculties of the Lord Archbishop of Canterbury. The office permits the holder to administer oaths and affirmations.
Advocate Domaille is able to certify a number of different documents including : the identity or signature of a named person, certify that a document is a true copy of another, certify that a person declares that he or she is legally entitled to marry, that a parent permits his or her child to leave the jurisdiction, to ship protests (when a ship’s captain loses cargo or his or her ship suffers damage), and Bills of Exchange, although the latter is purely an historic right and no longer used in practice (this list is not exhaustive).
Advocate Domaille trades under the name of Bailiwick Chambers; the original trading name of 5 The Grange Advocates.
